How else does one begin a “Classics” blog column than with Jimi Hendrix. “Hear My Train A Comin'” is easily one of my favorite Hendrix songs. I’ve always held that the greatest trick in music history was that Hendrix fooled people into thinking that they were paying to see him in concert when in fact he was just messing around on his guitar. This music isn’t for any of us – this music is between Jimi and his guitar. And that’s why its incredible.
